Job summary

MOHR Talent in Albany, NY is seeking a Maintenance Manager for a dairy processing operation. You will lead a 13-person maintenance team, drive reliability, preventive/predictive maintenance, and champion CMMS/MRO/spare parts.

Collaborate with production, engineering, sanitation, and plant leadership; oversee scheduling and planned shutdowns. The role offers a Monday–Friday 1st shift, with a 100k–120k base and a 10% bonus, relocation/sign-on options, and a strong path to improve maintenance

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Dairy processing plant experience preferred.
• Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance and equipment reliability.
• Experience with CMMS systems, MRO, spare parts, and maintenance planning.
• Experience reducing downtime and improving equipment performance.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• SAP experience preferred.
• Food safety, GMP, OSHA, and sanitation knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead 2 Maintenance Supervisors, 1 Parts Manager, and the maintenance team.
• Improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Reduce equipment downtime and recurring breakdowns.
• Strengthen CMMS, MRO, spare parts, and maintenance planning.
• Improve equipment reliability, safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Lead maintenance scheduling and planned shutdown activities.
• Support equipment upgrades and smaller capital projects.
• Coach, develop, and hold maintenance employees accountable.
• Partner with production, engineering, sanitation, and plant leadership.
• Participate in on-call coverage as needed.

About the Opportunity

We’re partnering with a large, established manufacturer that is hiring a Maintenance Manager due to continued growth.

This role leads a 13-person maintenance organization and is focused on improving equipment reliability, reducing downtime, strengthening preventive maintenance, and building a more proactive maintenance operation.

Preferredleadership experience in dairy, milk, cheese, or closely related dairy processing manufacturing.

What You’ll Be Doing

What They’re Looking For

• Dairy, milk, or cheese manufacturing experience highly preferred
• 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience
• Ideally 7-9 years of maintenance experience
• Maintenance management or supervisory experience
• Experience leading maintenance teams in a dairy processing plant
• Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, and equipment reliability
• Experience with CMMS systems, MRO, spare parts, and maintenance planning
• Experience reducing downtime and improving equipment performance
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting knowledge
• Experience implementing maintenance process improvements and change
• SAP experience preferred
• Food safety, GMP, OSHA, and sanitation knowledge
