Job summary

Perdue Farms seeks a Maintenance Manager to lead a high-performing maintenance operation at the plant, driving maintenance strategies and execution, providing leadership, and overseeing projects, cost optimization, and process improvements to keep production safe, efficient, and reliable.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering (or related) and 5+ years of relevant experience, with knowledge of maintenance management systems, preventive/predictive

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering or related discipline; equivalent work experience considered.
  • 5+ years of relevant maintenance experience.
  • Knowledge of maintenance management systems and processes.
  • Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance and manufacturing technologies.
  • Strong communication, math, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Willingness to travel to other facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deploy maintenance and store improvement programs to improve plant performance.
  • Promote safety and require it from the maintenance organization.
  • Manage the maintenance staff including hiring, training and development.
  • Ensure preventive and predictive maintenance is recorded and maintained for all assets.
  • Ensure maintenance projects comply with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Develop and oversee continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and long-term plans.
  • Manage the maintenance management system.
  • Coordinate work performed by outside vendors.

Summary

Lead a high performing maintenance operation that keeps plant production running safely, efficiently, and reliably. As a Maintenance Manager, you will drive maintenancestrategiesand execution for the facility, providing leadership, technical guidance, and oversight of maintenance projects, cost optimization, and process improvements. You will play a critical role in enhancing equipment reliability, optimizing maintenancespending, and supporting continuous improvement while ensuring the facility and its systems operate at peak performance.

The salary range for this position is$101,000- $151,000 per year, based on experience and qualificationswith annual bonusavailable(variable dependingon performance).

Minimum Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’sDegree inMechanicalor Agricultural Engineering or related discipline.In lieu of a degree,equivalent work experience will be considered.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Musthave an understanding ofmaintenance management systems and processes, preventative and predictive maintenance, manufacturing technologies and standard software applications.
  • Requires strong communication, math, organizational and analytical skills.
  • Mustbe able to travel to other facilities.
Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors
  • May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another.
  • May need to access files, supplies and equipment.
  • When in a plant environment: Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces.
  • May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity.
  • May handleproducts from25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • May be exposed to noise ranges of 50dbto 110 db.
  • May be exposed to all chemicals used in poultry, food, and processing facility.
  • Mustwear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.
