BlueScope Buildings North America, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance resources and sustain strategic objectives across manufacturing operations.

You will focus on safety, reliability, cost reduction and customer satisfaction while balancing production needs with planned maintenance. The role requires leadership, analytical thinking and diplomacy, with responsibilities including managing maintenance programs, vendor interfaces, and building the skills of the maintenance

Qualifications

• Minimum: 3 years industrial maintenance experience; HS diploma/GED plus certificates (hydraulics, PLC, devices & circuits, pneumatics, etc.)
• Preferred: management experience; associate degree in a technical discipline.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outputs aligned with the plant business plan daily/weekly.
• Own and champion RC M processes, PM programs, and inventory management.
• Interface with external vendors and contractors per the program.
• Support execution of capital projects.
• Develop maintenance team skills via MST program.

The primary purpose of this role is to manage maintenance resources to implement and sustain strategic maintenance objectives to support Manufacturing Excellence within the region’s manufacturing defined business systems. This requires leadership skills, analytical skills, and diplomacy. Focus will be on safety, maintenance performance improvement, cost reduction and customer satisfaction. The key challenge and value will be balancing plant production requirements while adhering to planned maintenance activities and goals.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Deliver safely the outputs expected by BlueScope Buildings NA (plant) business plan on a day to day, week to week basis
• 40% Owner and champion of RCM processes, maintenance management software, preventive and predictive maintenance program and part inventory management
• 40% Manage interface with external vendors and contractors who are brought in to service or install equipment per the Contractor Management Program
• 10% Support the execution of capital projects
• 5% Ensure the skills and competency of maintenance team are built and maintained through the Maintenance Skills Training (MST) program

Education & Experience

Qualifications: Minimum: Three years’ industrial maintenance experience HS diploma or GED plus certificates (ie. course completion certificates for hydraulics, PLC programming, devices & circuits, pneumatics, etc.) Preferred: Management experience Associate degree with emphasis in a technical discipline preferred

• Familiarity with Maintenance Management Software, Work Order and PM Processes
