Job summary

Briarfield Health Care Centers is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations across our care facilities. You will handle daily repairs in the facility and resident apartments, prepare apartments for new residents, and ensure compliance with Fire, Boiler, HVAC and other regulations.

The role requires a genuine interest in geriatric care, teamwork, and a friendly, proactive approach to resident requests.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Proven maintenance experience with plumbing, electrical and carpentry.
• Knowledge of local and state regulations (Fire, Boiler, HVAC) preferred.
• Must have reliable transportation and be able to travel between facilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily maintenance operations of Briarfield Health Care Centers.
• Perform repairs in the general facility and in resident apartments.
• Prepare apartments for move-in and ensure cleanliness and safety.
• Comply with all local and state regulations (Fire, Boiler, HVAC, etc.).
• Prioritize projects and manage time effectively.

The Maintenance Director is responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations of our health care facility. This includes making daily repairs as to the general facility and in resident apartments, preparing apartments for move in, and complying with all local and state regulations (Fire, Boiler, HVAC, etc.). The maintenance director tends to be the most popular person in the building on a daily basis, so must be friendly and inviting to resident requests and efficient with managing time and prioritizing projects.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D
• Proven maintenance experience with plumbing, electrical & carpentry required.
• Knowledge of ODH and State Fire Marshall regulations preferred
• Must have reliable transportation and be able to travel between facilities during the day.
• Will be in On-Call rotation for weekend emergencies and snow removal.
