Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations across the site, overseeing Area Maintenance Managers and their teams of technicians and automation engineers, and developing strategic maintenance programs.

The role blends strategic planning, financial management, and leadership development while coordinating preventative maintenance, safety initiatives, and cross-site collaboration to drive operational excellence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Reliability Engineering, or 2+ years of Amazon RME Full Time Exempt experience.
  • Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
  • 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
  • 4+ years of direct leadership/supervisory experience.
  • 4+ years of managing department spend and labor budgets, performing root cause analysis (RCA), and implementing continuous improvement (CI) experience.
  • 4+ years of managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership experience.
  • 4+ years of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and mentorship to Area Maintenance Managers and their teams of service technicians and automation engineers.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive preventative maintenance programs, manage department budgets, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
  • Ensure safety protocols and procedures across all sites while partnering with site Safety leadership to implement and audit safety programs.
  • Manage capital spending plans, coordinate external contractors, and ensure high-quality service standards.
  • Travel domestically up to 15% to support network-level initiatives and provide guidance across multiple sites.

About The Role

As a Maintenance Manager, you will transform workplace environments by leading maintenance operations across your site and developing the next generation of maintenance leaders. In this critical role, you'll oversee Area Maintenance Managers and their teams, develop strategic maintenance programs, and drive operational excellence across multiple functional areas. You will blend strategic planning, financial management, and leadership development while navigating between managing preventative maintenance programs, coordinating with operations teams, and responding to emergencies that require quick, decisive action. You'll balance proactive planning with real-time problem resolution while fostering a culture of safety, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Key job responsibilities

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Reliability Engineering, or 2+ years of Amazon RME (BB/3P) Full Time Exempt experience
  • Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
  • 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience
  • 4+ years of direct leadership/supervisory experience
  • 4+ years of managing department spend and labor budgets, performing root cause analysis (RCA), and implementing continuous improvement (CI) experience
  • 4+ years of managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership experience
  • 4+ years of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional Engineer License
  • Experience working with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) integrators
  • Experience in project management
  • Experience with statistical analysis
  • Experience maintaining material handling equipment and integrated systems
  • Master's degree, or Six Sigma Black Belt certification
  • Experience leading network level/multi-site maintenance organizations

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
