Job summary

Amazon Omaha is seeking an Area Maintenance Manager to lead a team of service technicians and automation engineers, ensuring safety, efficiency and operational excellence on site. You will develop maintenance strategies, solve complex challenges, and foster a culture that empowers technicians.

You will blend planning with hands-on problem solving, manage preventative programs, coordinate with operations, and respond to emergencies while balancing proactive planning with real-time action.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 2+ years of Amazon RME experience.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• 4+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
• 2+ years of direct leadership/supervisory experience.
• 2+ years of CMMS experience and MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of service technicians and automation engineers.
• Ensure strict safety protocols during maintenance activities across the site.
• Design and implement preventative maintenance programs to boost efficiency.
• Coordinate external contractors while maintaining high service standards.

• You will monitor Material Handling Equipment (MHE) metrics and partner with applicable team to address system performance issues and provide analysis across all operations

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Reliability Engineering, or 2+ years of Amazon RME (BB/3P) Full Time experience
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
• 4+ years of industrial maintenance experience
• 2+ years of direct leadership/supervisory experience
• 2+ years of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) experience
• 2+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree, or Six Sigma Black Belt certification
• Experience working with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) integrators
• Experience maintaining material handling equipment and integrated systems
• Experience in project management
• Experience with statistical analysis

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
