• 480/220 Electric Motor Troubleshooting / installation.
• Troubleshooting pressurized hydraulic pumps / valves / control systems.
• Troubleshooting PC / CNC / Automated control unit.
• Experience with troubleshooting Metal working equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reviews job orders to determine work priorities and schedules repair, maintenance, and installation to ensure continuous production operations.
• Directly supervises employees in the maintenance department, recruiting, training, and evaluating performance.
• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with policies and laws.
• Coordinates activities of workers fabricating or modifying machines to manufacture new products or improve existing products.
• Develops preventive maintenance programs with engineering and maintenance staff.
• Reviews production, quality control, and maintenance reports to plan and modify maintenance activities.
• Inspects operating machines for conformance with standards.
• Requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies required for operations.
• Demonstrates strong leadership and organizational skills to prioritize preventive maintenance.

Job Summary

The Maintenance manager directs and coordinates activities of workers engaged in repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment, and in maintenance of buildings, grounds, and utility systems of metals service industrial plant, by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

Summary Of Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities

• Reviews job orders to determine work priorities. Schedules repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment to ensure continuous production operations
• Directly supervises employees in the maintenance department, by interviewing, hiring, and training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems
• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws
• Coordinates activities of workers fabricating or modifying machines to manufacture new products or improve existing products
• Develops preventive maintenance program in conjunction with engineering and maintenance staff
• Reviews production, quality control, and maintenance reports and statistics to plan and modify maintenance activities
• Inspects operating machines for conformance with operational standards
• Requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies required for operations
• Strong leadership skills
• Excellent organizational skills to prioritize and execute preventative maintenance plans on a daily basis
