Job summary

Apartment Management Consultants (AMC) is seeking a Maintenance Director to oversee maintenance operations across multiple properties. You will lead a team, ensure inspections are completed, mentor staff, and manage special projects within your region.

The role requires HVAC and CPO certifications, hands-on maintenance experience, and strong relationship-building with internal and external contacts. A proactive, detail-oriented approach is essential.

Qualifications

• HVAC certification.
• CPO certification.
• 2+ years of experience in a handyman or maintenance role.
• Knowledge in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.
• Ability to maintain positive relationships with internal and external contacts.
• Self-motivated with attention to detail and independent judgment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance at home base property and other regionally specified properties.
• Conduct initial property inspection to prepare properties for state inspections.
• Oversee TCAC, REAC and other inspections for affordable housing properties.
• Mentor and train maintenance team members.
• Oversee and be accountable for regional special projects.
• Conduct property inspections and provide improvement feedback to leadership.
• Create reports for upper management and ownership.
• Communicate with owner representatives regarding projects and updates.

We are currently seeking a Maintenance Director!

Maintenance Directors oversee maintenance operations for multiple properties including special projects compliance objectives.

Responsibilities include:

• Oversee maintenance at their home base property as well as other regionally specified properties
• Conduct initial property inspection to prepare properties for state inspections
• TCAC Inspections, REAC Inspections any other inspections needed for affordable housing properties
• Mentor and train maintenance team members
• Oversee and be accountable for special projects in their region
• Conduct property inspections; provide feedback for improvement to leadership and property personnel
• Create reports to be presented to upper management and ownership
• Communicate directly with owner representatives regarding projects and updates

Requirements:

• HVAC certification
• CPO certification
• 2+ years of experience in a handyman or maintenance role
• Knowledge in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical
• Ability to maintain positive relationships with internal and external contacts
• Self-motivated with attention to detail and an ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion

Compensation: Full-Time $ 75,000.00 to $ 85,000.00 annually
