Job description

Our client is currently seeking a Maintenance Manager in Wabash, Indiana.

This job will have the following responsibilities:

• Maintain machinery and equipment to ensure uninterrupted production and safe operation.

• Keep equipment records and repair files updated and complete.
• Develop, update, and implement Preventative Maintenance (PM) programs, documenting completed PMs.
• Maintain an inventory of essential spare parts and tools to prevent production downtime.
• Uphold building and property standards as per company expectations.
• Monitor and analyze utility usage (electricity, water/sewer, gas) while developing and implementing cost-saving measures.
• Track BOD and pH levels in wastewater.
• Support the Plant Manager in planning efficient plant operations, enforcing safety, and coordinating necessary repairs.
• Oversee the facility's PSM Program & Refrigeration Systems.
• Lead employee training and development, fostering an environment that supports performance and success.
• Ensure plant compliance with all applicable laws and regulations in consultation with the Plant Manager.
• Train and equip maintenance personnel, ensuring safe, timely, and cost-effective execution of maintenance programs.
• Manage plant security and access controls.
• Obtain and maintain MSDS Sheets as needed.
• Follow all safety guidelines, including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Support and enforce all company policies and procedures.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED with at least two (2) years of experience or equivalent education/experience.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to read and interpret documents and drawings.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish (preferred).
