Kloeckner Metals - Americas is seeking a Maintenance Manager to direct and coordinate maintenance, repair, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment at our metals service industrial plant. The role leads a maintenance team and works with engineering to optimize preventive programs.

Responsibilities include scheduling repairs, supervising staff, and developing maintenance plans to keep production running smoothly while adhering to policies and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in industrial or mechanical engineering or equivalent
• 5+ years in a maintenance management position
• Experience in metals service centers preferred
• Electrical motor troubleshooting/installation (480/220)
• Troubleshooting hydraulic pumps/valves/control systems
• Troubleshooting PC/CNC/Automated control units
• Experience with metalworking equipment preferred

Responsibilities

• Schedule and supervise repair, maintenance, and installation of machines to ensure continuous production
• Directly supervise maintenance staff, including hiring, training, evaluating performance
• Develop preventive maintenance programs in collaboration with engineering
• Review production, quality control, and maintenance reports to plan activities
• Coordinate machine fabrication or modification for new or improved products
• Ensure compliance with policies and applicable laws
• Prioritize work and meet deadlines in a changing environment

Summary Of Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities

• Reviews job orders to determine work priorities. Schedules repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment to ensure continuous production operations
• Directly supervises employees in the maintenance department, by interviewing, hiring, and training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems
• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws
• Coordinates activities of workers fabricating or modifying machines to manufacture new products or improve existing products
• Develops preventive maintenance program in conjunction with engineering and maintenance staff
• Reviews production, quality control, and maintenance reports and statistics to plan and modify maintenance activities
• Inspects operating machines for conformance with operational standards
• Requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies required for operations
• Strong leadership skills
• Excellent organizational skills to prioritize and execute preventative maintenance plans on a daily basis
• Proven ability to take initiative and establish processes and programs while working
• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines within specified time constraints
• Ability to adapt in a changing work environment

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in industrial or mechanical engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 5+ years of experience in a maintenance management position
• Experience in a metals service centers industry preferred
• 480/220 Electric Motor Troubleshooting / installation
• Trouble shooting pressurized hydraulic pumps / valves / control systems
• Troubleshooting PC / CNC / Automated control unit
• Experience with troubleshooting Metal working equipment preferred
