Job summary

Maker's Pride, LLC seeks a Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance team and oversee all reliability activities on the production floor. You will develop KPIs, manage PM programs, and partner with corporate and local teams to align maintenance with production goals.

The role requires strong leadership, knowledge of SAP/EAM systems, and experience in multi-craft maintenance within food/pharma contexts. On-site position with safety and GMP awareness encouraged.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
• 3–7 years of related work experience leading a maintenance department.
• Must be detailed-oriented with strong communication and leadership skills.
• Food Industry or pharmaceutical industry experience is required or preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Maintenance department and execute all maintenance activities.
• Create and deliver KPIs and objectives for the Maintenance group.
• Maintain equipment parts inventory, PM program, and work orders.
• Develop and improve SOPs for predictive and preventive maintenance.
• Evaluate direct reports and align with corporate programs and best practices.
• Maintain safety, GMP awareness, and strong internal/external communication.

Job description

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading, developing, managing and executing all aspects for maintenance with customers, suppliers, local and corporate-wide HFS employees and the manufacturing staff. The incumbent is also responsible for the supervising, training and mentoring members of the Maintenance department. This position exists to ensure the production equipment is properly maintained in order to produce and package all products.

Job Duties

• Responsible for leading, developing, managing and executing all aspects for maintenance with customers, suppliers, local and corporate-wide HFS employees and the manufacturing staff.
• Responsible for the creation and delivery of all key performance indicators (KPIs) and objectives for the Maintenance department.
• Responsible for maintaining key equipment parts inventory, managing the Preventative Maintenance (PM) program, managing the Work Order system and managing the overall day-to-day activities of the Maintenance department.
• Develop, maintain and continuously improve on all standard operating procedures as they relate to our maintenance programs (predictive and preventative) to meet all company and customer requirements.
• Evaluate the performance of direct reports against their job requirements and performance goals.
• Requires partnering with Corporate HFS regarding corporate programs and best practices.
• Maintain a safety, sanitation and GMP awareness within the department.
• Leads a team of 15-20 Maintenance Techs and Maintenance Supervisor

Knowledge Of

Required Competencies & Knowledge:

• Maker's Pride procurement, products and production processes

Skilled In

• Demonstrated proficiency in a multi-craft maintenance role and continuous improvement is required.
• Experience in PLC programming a plus.
• Demonstrated proficiency in developing both predictive and preventative maintenance programs.
• Maintaining harmonious relationships and effectively communicating with all customers, suppliers, local and corporate-wide HFS employees and manufacturing staff.

Ability To

• Be detailed-oriented, have strong self-confidence and leadership skills and have excellent oral and written communication skills.

Proficiency In

• MS Office Suite, EAM and SAP

Work Environment

• Work is done in both an office and production floor setting.
• Frequent production environment exposure, which includes noise, dust, moving machinery, forklifts and fluctuations in temperature.

Physical Requirements

• Sitting at a workstation for infrequent periods of time.
• Stand, walk and climb stairs on a frequent basis.
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds on an infrequent basis.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business/technical-related field is preferred but not required.
• Three (3) – Seven (7) years of related work experience, including experience managing and leading a maintenance department.
• Must be detailed-oriented, have strong self-confidence and leadership skills and have excellent oral and written communication skills.
