Job Title: Maintenance Manager

About the Role:
Our client, a well-established food manufacturing company located in Gilroy, CA, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead and oversee all aspects of plant maintenance operations. This role plays a key part in ensuring equipment reliability, plant uptime, and team performance in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, manage, and develop a maintenance team in a unionized food production environment.
Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime.
Manage and optimize the use of the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for scheduling, tracking, and reporting maintenance activities.
Ensure all machinery and equipment comply with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve equipment performance and efficiency.
Develop and manage maintenance budgets, projects, and capital improvements.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and proactive maintenance planning.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA standards.
Maintain spare parts inventory and vendor relationships for maintenance supplies and services.
Qualifications:
10+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a food manufacturing environment is required.
Prior management or supervisory experience is required.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field is preferred.
Experience working in a union environment is highly desired.
Proficient in CMMS software and maintenance planning tools.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, PLC, and refrigeration systems common in food manufacturing.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Bilingual English/Spanish is highly preferred.
