Job summary

Pratt Industries, Inc. seeks an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to coordinate the maintenance and repair of production equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and smooth operation.

You will lead the maintenance team, manage inventories, source parts, and implement preventive maintenance programs while upholding safety guidelines and company policies. Candidates should have strong electrical/mechanical knowledge and supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Demonstrated managerial skills in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience coordinating maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Experience with electronics, mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electricity preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the maintenance team and provide guidance with regular reviews and audits.
• Monitor warranties and service guarantees; notify of impending expirations.
• Manage inventory and verify maintenance parts via computerized systems.
• Source OEMs and aftermarket distributors for parts and service costs.
• Order parts or authorize staff; monitor delivery and quality.
• Initiate and maintain a cost-effective preventive maintenance program.
• Oversee external contractors for installs and major projects.
• Be on call as required; support downtime reductions.
• Assist in selecting, evaluating, and installing capital projects.
• Uphold company safety policies and housekeeping standards.

Position Summary:

Coordinate the maintenance and repair of a wide variety of production or processing machines and equipment with minimal downtime. Involves checking, setting up, and operating various types of production tools and equipment prior to approving for production use.

Position Description:

• Manage Maintenance team: support and guide team with frequent reviews and audits of work.
• Monitor warranties and service guarantees. Notify personnel of impending expiration dates.
• Conduct selective inventory monthly and verify with computerized inventory of maintenance parts and supplies.
• Locate O.E.M. manufacturers and after-market distributors in order to obtain competitive costs on parts or improved service.
• Order parts/supplies or give authority to maintenance staff and monitor.
• Initiate and/or maintain a cost-effective preventive maintenance program.
• Oversee and plan contract work and installations done by outside vendors.
• Must be available to be on call.
• Assist in selection, evaluation, and installation of capital and expense projects.
• Implement, maintain, and support all company policies and procedures, including safety program, and good housekeeping.
• Complete annual performance reviews, set targets for department and maintain goal setting for maintenance team.
• Develop additional training plan for maintenance team.
• Follow all company policies per Employee Handbook & Code of Conduct.
• Follow all company safety guidelines.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Hiring Requirements/Preferences:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Computer/Data entry skills.
• Demonstrated personnel managerial skills.
• Four years maintenance experience in a manufacturing plant
• Two years’ experience in electronics, mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electricity.
• Professional Attitude & conduct
• High degree of safety awareness and safety discipline
• Willing to travel and work away from home when and if required.
• Be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.
• Be at least age 18 years of age due to natures of working environment.
