Overview

Stryten Energy, manufactures proprietary and custom injection molding products serving the industrial lead battery, automotive and consumer markets. Stryten Energy is expanding battery poly manufacturing and recycling output to help solve industry-wide supply constraints.

As the Maintenance Manager, you will managethe planning, organization, control, and coordination of all maintenance, repair, and service activities for the plant manufacturing equipment, buildings, and facilities. Your role is crucial in ensuring optimal production effectiveness. You will also ensure compliance with company policies and procedures relating to health, safety and personnel practices.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for management of maintenance department to ensure maximum utilization of technicians, department personnel
  • Responsible for ensuring equipment is maintained to comply with all environmental and health and safety requirements
  • Provide technical support to production and maintenance personnel in manufacturing plant areas
  • Ensure that equipment is performing effectively and efficiently
  • Provides leadership and technical resources toward implementation of Lean Manufacturing
  • Interface with outside service providers and contractors to secure bids for goods and services
  • Track and control the department RME budget
  • Manage systems and foster an environment of continuous improvement to maximize operational availability
  • Engage department to follow health and safety practices as they apply to department and the facility to drive a strong safety culture continuously reducing injury rates
  • Participate in training and development programs including environmental, health and safety, and handling hazardous materials
  • Additional responsibilities as needed to support the team and company goals.
Qualifications

Education, Experience, Certifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field and three years of related experience or post high school education such as technical school combined with 8 years of industrial maintenance experience required.
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, including knowledge of PLCs, HVAC systems, and electrical and mechanical equipment

Competencies, Skills, Knowledge

  • Excellent computer skills to include Excel, Word, Outlook, MEP
  • Proven technical aptitude for electrical and mechanical equipment
  • Understanding of Industrial maintenance systems.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks and create a sense of urgency for completion of tasks.
  • Independent problem solving and decision- making skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, MEP,
  • Proficiency with budgeting, Continuous improvement / Lean management, Performance Management
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Environmental Regulations as they pertain to this facility
  • Knowledge of OSHA requirements as they pertain to this facility
  • Able to work all shifts
  • Ability to follow all environmental, health and safety procedures

Environment & Physcial Demands

This role is located at the Columbus, IN manufacturing site.This facility operates 24/7 and as a member of the Leadership Team the Maintenance Manager must always be available in case of emergency.

In order to perform the essential job functions of this position, some physical demands are required. The individual in this position will be frequently engaged in activities that require body mobility in order to engage in: lifting and carrying items in excess of 50 lbs., moving about in the workplace utilizing ladders, catwalks, and scaffolding. The individual in this position will need to sit, stand, kneel, crawl, and stoop regularly. Maintaining regular attendance, following instructions, understanding workplace materials, and communicating with others are essential to being successful in this role.
