Job summary

Crown Holdings in Cheraw, SC is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to provide technical support and oversee preventive and predictive maintenance in a beverage manufacturing facility.

You will manage wastewater treatment, capital expenditures, and safety programs, leading an engineering team to ensure compliance with state and federal requirements and to keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. 2–4 years of knowledge in manufacturing methods and techniques.
  • Background in recognized trade. Minimum of 5–7 years of work-related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement and maintain preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Oversee wastewater treatment systems.
  • Plan and oversee Capital Expenditure items including equipment purchases and contractor work.
  • Manage processes to meet state & federal permits and OHSA safety standards.
  • Provide on- and off-hour emergency response and training as needed.

Here is your chance to join the Crown Beverage Division.Location: Cheraw, SC.Position Overview:Provides technical support by training and troubleshooting maintenance of equipment in the facilityDuties and Responsibilities:Design, implement and maintain preventive as well as predictive maintenance programsOversee full wastewater treatment systemsPrepare and administer department budget within established guidelines for maintenance and repair of building and equipmentManage all processes and equipment to meet state & federal compliance requirements i.e. – air permits, WWT discharge permits, OHSA safety standards, etc.Maintain plant quality performance standardsManage and direct an engineering staff and workforceFacilitate and foster a teamwork-oriented philosophyResponsible for all of the engineering department safety related matters.Plan and Oversee Capital Expenditure items including equipment purchases, contracted labor and in-house construction and fabrication projectsProvide on and off-hour emergency response including; equipment repair, damage control, and assignment of support personnel as neededFacilitate and supports EHS programs such as hazardous waste disposal programsProvide necessary training to new and existing employeesKeep up on technological changes such as retrofitting machinery to meet today’s new laws and efficiency standardsPerform other job-related duties as required or assignedQualifications:In addition to the specific responsibilities listed above, the ideal candidate will possess the following:Minimum RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent experience.2-4 years' knowledge of manufacturing methods and techniques. Frequently required to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Must be able to lift, carry or push or pull up to 75 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this position includes close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The associate may be exposed to a wide range of temperatures. The noise level is extremely loud.
