Job summary

Eco Material Technologies, a CRH Company, is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead the mechanical, reliability, and electrical maintenance teams across the plant, from quarry to loadout, while collaborating with production and quality groups. This role focuses on safety, asset care, and continuous improvement in a large industrial setting.

Qualifications

  • Excellent organizational and people management; experience in high-functioning teams.
  • Experience with metrics usage and planning processes to deliver results.
  • Strong communication skills; knowledge of lean tools (root cause analysis, 5S).
  • MSHA regulations and safety knowledge preferred.
  • MS Office and Maximo experience strongly desired.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a functional role.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all areas of maintenance, including SOPs, staff training, and maintenance system implementation.
  • Participate as an integral member of the plant leadership team to create a high-performance team.
  • Provide leadership and technical expertise on maintenance matters.
  • Oversee the maintenance department to achieve KPIs; coordinate planning and resources with internal customers.
  • Align maintenance plans to KPI targets and market demand.
  • Plan major maintenance projects and develop capital investment recommendations for the plant.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and development to maintenance staff.
  • Responsible for development and management of department budgets.
  • Analyze performance and drive continuous improvement; optimize maintenance resources.
  • Aim for best overall equipment effectiveness at the lowest sustainable cost.
  • Perform statistical analysis, prepare reports, and maintain records.

Job Summary

The role of Maintenance Manager position is to provide leadership and technical expertise in the mechanical, reliability, and electrical maintenance department, as well as engineering, projects, and plant services. Key areas of accountability include the maintenance of the plant equipment from the quarry to loadout as well as some offsite equipment. Work closely with production, quarry, and quality teams to provide leadership, guidance, and direction for plant operations to ensure alignment with plant and company goals.

Job Responsibilities
  • Manage all areas of maintenance, including the development of Standard Operating Procedures, training of staff, and implementation of maintenance system
  • Participate as an integral member of the plant leadership team to create a high-performance team
  • Provide leadership and technical expertise on maintenance related matters
  • Oversee the maintenance department to achieve key performance indicators; communicate with and coordinate planning and resources with primary internal customers
  • Align maintenance plans to achieve key performance indicators and/or market demand
  • Plan major maintenance projects and develop capital investment recommendations for the plant
  • Provide leadership, coaching, training, and development to all employees in the maintenance department
  • Responsible for development, oversight, and effective management of department budgets
  • Analyze overall performance of the operation and communicate results with appropriate team members to drive continuous improvement. Ensure optimization and execution of all maintenance resources
  • Optimize overall equipment effectiveness at the lowest sustainable cost of maintenance
  • Perform statistical analysis, prepare reports, and maintain appropriate department records and files as required
Job Requirements
  • Excellent organizational and management of people, including demonstrated experience working in high functioning teams.
  • Demonstrated examples of metrics usage and planning processes to deliver results.
  • Excellent organization and communication skills, with knowledge of lean tools such as root cause failure analysis, preventive maintenance, visual management, and 5S.
  • Basic knowledge of MSHA regulations and safety requirements preferred.
  • Required Computer and Software Skills: Microsoft word, Excel and Maximo experience strongly desired.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • At least 3 years’ experience in functional role
