Job summary

Robinson, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance teams across Wisconsin and Iowa facilities. This hands-on role oversees daily maintenance, preventative programs, changeovers, and safety compliance aligned with production goals.

You will train technicians, interpret blueprints, manage the CMMS program, and drive continuous improvement while forecasting expenditures and meeting financial targets.

Qualifications

  • 7–10 years of maintenance experience.
  • Experience with metal fabrication and machining processes.
  • Knowledge of plumbing, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
  • Reading machine drawings/blueprints and schematics.
  • Leadership experience in manufacturing settings.
  • Ability to foster teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees maintenance personnel and assigns tasks.

  • Develops and implements maintenance policies and procedures.
  • Plans preventive maintenance and changeovers.

Job Overview

The Maintenance Manager oversees all maintenance personnel, assigns tasks, addresses maintenance inquiries from other departments, and ensures compliance with maintenance processes and procedures. This is a hands‑on management role.

Role + Responsibilities
  • Achieves maintenance objectives by providing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing safety, quality, productivity, and customer service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; and driving continuous improvement.
  • Meets financial objectives by forecasting requirements; verifying expenditures; analyzing variance and initiating corrective actions.
  • Improves maintenance systems by developing, implementing, administering, and evaluating policies and procedures.
  • Knowledgeable in OSHA rules, regulations, and safety procedures for areas of responsibility.
  • Plans and oversees preventative maintenance program and parts requests.
  • Manages daily maintenance schedule.
  • Proficient in using hand tools and electric/pneumatic power tools.
  • Performs preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment.
  • Applies fundamental mechanical, electrical, carpentry, plumbing, or HVAC skills.
  • Reads electrical schematics and diagnoses equipment failures.
  • Oversees set up of new equipment lines and manages changeovers.
  • Trains production and maintenance personnel.
  • Provides direction, coaching and accountability to the Maintenance team.
  • Manages and maintains CMMS (FIIX) program.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 7-10 years of maintenance experience.
  • Experience with metal fabrication and machining processes.
  • Previous leadership experience in manufacturing/maintenance settings.
  • Knowledge of plumbing, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
  • Proficient in reading machine drawings/blueprints, schematics, and interpretation skills.
  • Demonstrates excellent judgement and decision making, with the ability to analyze situations and present appropriate resolution(s).
  • Must be able to foster and support a teamwork environment.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience in a preventative maintenance schedule.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills, along with attention to detail.
Leadership Responsibilities

This position oversees the maintenance personnel at all Robinson facilities in Wisconsin or Iowa.

Travel Requirements

This position does require travel to all other Robinson facilities within Wisconsin or Iowa.
