Job summary

Texas Inter-Faith Management/40i in Houston, TX is seeking a full-time Maintenance Assistant/Make Ready to support two properties in Houston and Stafford. The role requires traveling between locations as needed to complete maintenance, make-ready tasks, and other property-related work.

Candidates should have experience in landscaping, painting, apartment turnover maintenance, HVAC/EPA knowledge, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of experience in apartment maintenance or similar role.
Experience in plumbing, electrical repair, painting, appliance repair and drywall.
Must have valid driver's license, insurance and car registration if driving for business purposes.
Ability to be on-call and on the property on short notice, when needed.
HVAC certified, preferred.

Responsibilities

Make repairs and perform daily maintenance of buildings and mechanical equipment installed inside.
Coordinate all preventive maintenance work by fulfilling the daily work orders and preparing plans.
Prepare vacant units for new tenants in a timely manner.
Plumbing fixture replacement.
Electrical repairs and light fixture replacements.
Sheetrock repairs and interior painting.
HVAC/EPA maintenance.
Carpentry repairs (cabinet and doors).
Troubleshooting all work orders, maintaining/ cleaning grounds and common areas.
Monitor and inspect building systems, fire, electrical, security, elevators, etc.
Maintain OSHA safety standards and hazardous materials in a safe area.
Assist with preventive maintenance for interiors/exteriors including pools and fitness equipment.
Respond to service requests within 24 hours and complete them timely.
Maintain inventory of tools and supplies.
