Job summary

Lynd Management Group, LLC is seeking a dependable Maintenance Make Ready Technician/Porter to prepare vacant apartments for new residents and help maintain the property's overall appearance in New Orleans, LA.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on team player who values quality and attention to detail, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment for residents. A valid license and prior maintenance experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license preferred.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1+ year experience in make-ready, porter, groundskeeping, maintenance, painting, or similar.
• Experience preparing apartments or residential properties for move-in is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of painting, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, cleaning, landscaping.
• Ability to safely use basic hand tools and maintenance equipment.
• Follow instructions, organize assignments, and complete work on time.
• Strong attention to detail and repair-identification skills.
• Professional communication and customer service skills.
• Workplace safety procedures knowledge.
• Certified Pool Operator certification when pool maintenance is assigned.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vacant apartments for leasing and move-in.
• Remove trash and abandoned items with authorization.
• Inspect apartments for repairs, replacements, or cleaning needs.
• Paint interiors and perform minor exterior painting as needed.
• Repair walls, trims, cabinets, doors, windows, and locks.
• Complete basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, caulking, and appliance repairs.
• Clean or shampoo carpet and vinyl flooring; report replacements.
• Inspect HVAC, water heaters, appliances, and other features.
• Maintain grounds, parking areas, breezeways, halls, dumpsters, and pool areas.
• Assist with landscaping, watering, pressure washing, and appearance needs.
• Clean and maintain pool; monitor chemical levels if certified.
• Follow safety procedures and keep work areas organized.
