Job Description

Nexus Employment Solutions Plus, Inc., is currently hiring for Machine Maintenance Technicians for a food manufacturing facility located in Portage, Indiana.

• Weekly Pay
• Hiring Immediately
• $19 - $20 hourly

Responsibilities

• Adjust equipment to ensure optimal performance
• Record downtime along with reasons
• Troubleshoot downtime
• Complete and participate in maintenance/machine training sessions
• Replace and repair parts on equipment as needed
• Set up equipment on production lines according to line specifications
• Ensure all production lines are serviced promptly to meet schedules
• Participate in Continuous Process Improvement events as required

Qualifications

• Ability to make sound decisions on routine matters by applying explicit rules
• Proficient in manual and pneumatic hand tools
• Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
• Knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems
• Ability to work independently
• Mechanical aptitude
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment
• Self-starting personality
• Good manual dexterity and ability to reach above shoulder level
• Ability to carry loads up to 25 lbs
• Clear and accurate written communication skills

Education/Experience

• 1 to 2 years of previous experience in a similar role
• Relevant certifications (if any)
