Job summary

United States Cold Storage is seeking a Maintenance Technician III for the Lebanon facility to support reliable refrigeration systems and safe, efficient operation in a cold storage environment.

Ideal candidates bring refrigeration experience, RETA familiarity, and strong electrical and welding skills; you will lead small teams, perform preventative maintenance, and assist the Chief Engineer on projects.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED; RETA courses preferred.
• Strong maintenance skills for building and equipment.
• Proficient electrical knowledge and troubleshooting ability.
• Welding skills and Hazmat training required.
• Extensive refrigeration experience and ability to read electrical diagrams.
• Ability to lead a small team and work with limited direction.

Responsibilities

• Lead, plan, schedule, operate, maintain, and repair the refrigeration system.
• Perform electrical work, welding, and preventative maintenance tasks.
• Conduct daily inspections for safe, efficient refrigeration operation.
• Assist Chief Engineer on projects when asked.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in safety training.
• Interpret electrical ladder diagrams and troubleshoot equipment.
• Maintain paperwork and comply with hazardous materials procedures.
• Coordinate with other departments and lead a team when needed.

The Job Details:

We are looking for dependable hardworking individuals with good work habits, abilities to minimize downtime of all equipment, and operate the facility at its maximum efficiency. In addition, we need someone who works well with others and is self-motivated. Duties and Responsibilities can include the following:

• Can complete all Maintenance Technician I and II jobs and tasks

• Including, but not limited to: required paperwork, battery maintenance, general housekeeping and maintenance, troubleshooting, electrical work, welding, equipment maintenance, and other preventative maintenance tasks.

• ENGINE ROOM FUNTIONS AND PREVENTITIVE MAINTENANCE

• Electrical systems maintenance

• Lead, plan, schedule, operate, maintain, and repair the refrigeration system

• Conducts daily inspections to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the facilities refrigeration system

• Assists in execution of PSM Program

• Emergency response training

• Conducts troubleshooting on electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment

What We Are Looking For:

The ideal candidate will have or be able to complete the below qualifications

• Education
  -High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
  -Continuing education in RETA and or other industry specific courses strongly preferred.

• Experience
  -Highly skilled in building and equipment maintenance
  -Proficient electrical knowledge
  -Maintenance troubleshooting
  -Proficient welding knowledge
  -HAZMAT trained
  -Highly skilled in all aspects of refrigeration
  -Understanding of electrical ladder diagrams
  -Capable of leading a team and working independently with limited direction
