United States Cold Storage, Inc. in Lebanon, IN seeks a Maintenance Technician III to minimize downtime and maximize facility efficiency. You will lead maintenance tasks, troubleshoot refrigeration systems, and work closely with the Chief Engineer.

The ideal candidate has RETA training, strong electrical knowledge, and the ability to diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems while maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required, RETA training preferred.
• Strong refrigeration knowledge and electrical/maintenance skills.
• Ability to lead teams and troubleshoot multiple systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain refrigeration systems and electrical equipment in a fast-paced facility.
• Lead, plan, schedule, operate, and repair the refrigeration system.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks and basic welding as needed.
• Assist Chief Engineer with projects and daily inspections.

Job Title: Maintenance Technician III

The Job Details

We are looking for dependable hardworking individuals with good work habits, abilities to minimize downtime of all equipment, and operate the facility at its maximum efficiency. In addition, we need someone who works well with others and is self-motivated.

Duties and Responsibilities can include the following:

• Can complete all Maintenance Technician I and II jobs and tasks
• Including, but not limited to: required paperwork, battery maintenance, general housekeeping and maintenance, troubleshooting, electrical work, welding, equipment maintenance, and other preventative maintenance tasks.
• Hazmat responsibilities
• REFRIGERATION EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• RETA1, RETA2
• ENGINE ROOM FUNTIONS AND PREVENTITIVE MAINTENANCE
• Electrical systems maintenance
• Lead, plan, schedule, operate, maintain, and repair the refrigeration system
• Assist the Chief Engineer with projects when asked
• Conducts daily inspections to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the facilities refrigeration system
• Assists in execution of PSM Program
• Emergency response training
• Conducts troubleshooting on electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment
• Interpret and utilize electrical ladder diagrams
• Capable of leading a team

What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will have or be able to complete the below qualifications.

• Education
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
• Continuing education in RETA and or other industry specific courses strongly preferred.

• Experience
• Highly skilled in building and equipment maintenance
• Proficient electrical knowledge
• Maintenance troubleshooting
• Proficient welding knowledge
• HAZMAT trained
• Highly skilled in all aspects of refrigeration
• Understanding of electrical ladder diagrams
• Capable of leading a team and working independently with limited direction

Other Abilities You Will Need to Have

• Bend and lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.
• Lift up to 70 lbs. occasionally, with assistance.
• Work in a temperature range from +50°F to -30°F with moderate noise levels.
• Lift overhead when required.
• May require physical effort associated with using the computer to access information, or occasional standing, walking, lifting needed to carry out everyday activities
• Stand and walk for extended periods.
• Use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls.
• Attention to detail.
• Effective communication and hearing are essential for safety and productivity.
• Operate scanners, tablets, radios, phones, computers, and other essential warehouse equipment as required.
• Overtime availability is essential due to demand.
• Operate a registered motor vehicle as part of daily tasks.
• Have acceptable and/or correctable vision.
• Engage in frequent personal interaction and communication.
• Possess strong arithmetic and reading skills.
• Follow verbal instructions, written instructions, and company policies.
• Be a self-starter, able to work independently and coordinate with others.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing stress and meeting productivity guidelines.
