Job summary

Verdant Specialty Solutions in Liberty, Texas, seeks a Maintenance Lead to oversee daily maintenance, outages, and reliability programs. You will provide hands-on technical leadership to the maintenance team and partner with Operations, Engineering, and HSE to minimize downtime and support safe plant operations.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in chemical plant maintenance, strong knowledge of pumps and piping, ability to interpret P&IDs, and experience with SAP and ERP systems.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of directly related maintenance experience in a chemical plant.
• Strong knowledge of pumps, piping, heat exchangers, vessels, instrumentation.
• Experience reading P&IDs and drawings; reading specifications.
• Experience leading maintenance and coordinating activities; budget control.
• Knowledge of MRO inventory and storeroom requirements; safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, schedule daily maintenance and outages, including major shutdowns.
• Provide technical leadership and direction to maintenance technicians.
• Implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve reliability.
• Drive safety performance with a focus on zero recordable incidents.
• Control maintenance budget and measure department performance metrics.
• Identify reliability improvements to increase availability and plant capacity.
• Support capital projects with equipment specs, installations, and commissioning.
• Maintain accurate equipment docs: lists, P&IDs, loop sheets, diagrams.
• Improve cross-functional communication between Maintenance, Ops, Engineering, HSE.
• Provide hands-on support to maintenance and I&E technicians.
