Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure, a CRH Company, seeks a multi-craft maintenance lead in a union role in Romeoville, IL. The position is non-exempt with an hourly pay rate of $41.81/hr, offering comprehensive benefits and opportunities for safety, compliance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment or industrial maintenance as a multi-skilled technician.
• Experience troubleshooting motors, drives, electrical circuits, hydraulic systems, power transmission, and robotics.
• Must be able to read and understand electrical and mechanical diagrams.
• PLC experience highly desired.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day maintenance activities such as changeovers, PM schedule and repairs.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and cost reduction.
• Assign tasks, monitor progress, and provide guidance as needed.
• Work with Scheduling and crew Supervisors for prioritization of projects.
• Provide training and guidance to staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills.
• Identify training needs and organize relevant training programs.
• Maintain plant effectiveness with emphasis on machine maintenance and performance.
• Respond to unplanned downtime or breakdowns on machines.
• Troubleshoot problems with drive systems and PLCs.
• Plan and execute maintenance for non-routine issues, troubleshoot to root cause.
• Design, fabricate and install mechanical/electronic equipment; perform program changes.
• Weld stainless steel, carbon steel, and aluminum; fabricate guards as required.
• Be engaged in safety, compliance and continuous improvement.
