Job description

We are recruiting a 3rd shift Maintenance Lead for a steel manufacturer in Louisville, KY. The hours are 9:45 PM - 6:15 AM, Sunday - Thursday, with overtime. Pay starts at $35.00 per hour, paid weekly. This is a direct hire position that offers a full benefits package.

The Maintenance Lead will install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, physical structures, pipe, and electrical systems. They will also be responsible for training and coaching technicians.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Perform maintenance, service, and repairs in plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, machine servicing, electrical, and vehicle servicing.
2. Follow instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform job functions.
3. Support all plant machinery and tooling, including breakdowns, damages, and PLC troubleshooting.
4. Ensure safety procedures are properly followed during all maintenance activities.
5. Organize the maintenance area and implement 5S practices for parts and spare parts.
6. Maintain cleanliness of the area to ensure safety and proper plant appearance.
7. Report any equipment abuse to the Assistant Production Manager.
8. Follow lockout/tagout procedures.
