Job summary

Docdort seeks an Industrial and Building Maintenance Lead to oversee repair and upkeep of facility structures and production machinery. This hands-on supervisory role manages maintenance personnel, directs preventive maintenance programs, and coordinates with external contractors to minimize downtime.

The role requires 5+ years in maintenance with leadership exposure, strong PLC/hydraulic/electrical troubleshooting skills, and solid OSHA/lockout-tagout knowledge.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; an associate degree or vocational cert is preferred.
• 5+ years hands-on maintenance experience, with 1-2 years in a leadership/supervisory role.
• Strong troubleshooting in industrial systems (PLCs, relays, motors, conveyors, hydraulics).
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and PPE practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise maintenance personnel, plan daily tasks and emergency repairs.
• Develop, implement, and document preventive maintenance programs for industrial machinery, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structures.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment; perform repairs as needed.
• Ensure all work complies with OSHA regulations, building codes, and company standards; enforce PPE and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Oversee spare parts inventory, manage vendor relations for parts and contractors on large repairs.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, track repair costs, and monitor facility performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and schedule maintenance personnel, assigning daily tasks and emergency repair work.


• Preventive Maintenance (PM): Develop, execute, and document PM programs for industrial machinery, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural systems.


• Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose complex mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment failures, stepping in to perform repairs when necessary.


• Compliance & Safety: Ensure all work meets OSHA regulations, building codes, and company quality standards. Enforce the use of PPE and proper lockout/tagout procedures.


• Inventory & Vendor Management: Oversee spare parts inventory, order operating supplies, and assist in managing external contractors for specialized or large-scale repairs.


• Reporting: Maintain accurate maintenance logs, track repair costs, and monitor facility.
