Job summary

Oldcastle APG, a CRH Company in Milford, CT, seeks a maintenance technician to oversee overall maintenance and repair of equipment, tools, and machinery as assigned by the Site Manager or Production Supervisor.

The role requires a high school diploma or technical training, 2 years of industrial electrical or mechanical experience, OSHA knowledge, ability to read schematics/blueprints, and familiarity with three-phase 480-volt systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or technical training completed.
• At least 2 years of industrial experience in electrical or mechanical support.
• Must know OSHA safety requirements for electrical/mechanical operations.
• Able to read electrical schematics and blueprints.
• Full knowledge of three phase 480-volt equipment.
• Work requires lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Maintains safe condition of facility equipment, building, and grounds.
• Constructs fixtures as required.
• Performs preventative maintenance and inspections on equipment.
• Repairs facility equipment, fixtures, building, and grounds.
• Removes/installs fixtures and equipment for safe operation.
• Troubleshoots electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems.
• Keeps maintenance tools and equipment clean and ready.
• Additional duties as needed.

Job Summary

Responsible for the overall maintenance and repair of equipment, tools, and machinery as assigned by the Site Manager or Production Supervisor.

Job Responsibilities

• Maintains the safe working condition of facility equipment, building, and grounds
• Constructs fixtures as required
• Performs preventative maintenance and inspections on equipment as scheduled
• Repairs facility equipment, fixtures, building, and grounds
• Removes and/or installs fixtures and equipment for safe, efficient operation
• Troubleshoots electric, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems to determine causes of failures and recommends solutions for repair
• Maintains cleanliness, functionality, and efficiency of maintenance equipment, tools, and fixtures
• Additional duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed

Job Requirements

• High school diploma / equivalent or completion of technical school or equivalent in training, experience, and education
• At least 2 years of industrial experience in electrical or mechanical support functions
• Must be knowledgeable of OSHA safety requirements, especially those related to electrical and mechanical operations and components
• Able to read and understand electrical schematics and blueprints
• Full knowledge of three phase 480-volt equipment
• Working knowledge of three phase motors, programmable controls, circuits, computer interfaces and National Electrical Code
• Lifting requirements are up to 50 pounds
• Endure intermittent bending, crouching, pushing, pulling, stooping, and reaching
• Standing for extended period
• Able to work under extreme conditions such as hot or cold temperatures, noise, dust, and dirt

Job Compensation

• The hourly pay is $38/HR
