Job Summary:

The Mechanical Maintenance Technician Lead collaborates with and guides Maintenance Technicians in their daily tasks. They work independently on maintenance activities, prioritize preventative maintenance alongside the Instrument & Controls Lead, and uphold high standards of professionalism and safety. This role ensures efficient and proper maintenance, repair, installation, and preventative programs for equipment and machinery.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist and work alongside Maintenance Technicians in diagnosing machinery malfunctions, repairs, installation, and preventative maintenance
• Install new equipment or reconfigure existing setups
• Maintain an inventory of spare parts
• Be available on call for emergency repairs
• Lead by example, practicing safety and following EHS policies
• Perform or supervise preventative maintenance on plant facilities and equipment, including mobile and water treatment equipment
• Provide leadership during shifts and other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Preferred:

• Associate's Degree in electrical, industrial/mechanical, engineering, or water treatment disciplines
• Minimum of 3 years in electrical installation, repair, troubleshooting, PLC programming, and 480V 3-phase electrical maintenance
• Trade school experience in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, or mechanical repair

Qualifications

Required:

• HS Diploma, GED, or equivalent
• At least 2 years of mechanical repair and maintenance experience
• At least 1 year in a shift lead role
• Valid driver's license with a clean record

Preferred:

• Associate Degree or Trade School Certificate in Mechanical/Industrial Maintenance
• 5 years of mechanical repair and maintenance experience
• 3 years in a leadership role
