Job Description

The Maintenance Technician Lead provides hands‑on technical support and day‑to‑day leadership to maintenance technicians. This role ensures safe, reliable, and efficient operation of production equipment by coordinating maintenance tasks, troubleshooting issues, and supporting continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and assist technicians with troubleshooting, repair, and preventative/corrective maintenance on production equipment.
• Assign and prioritize daily work orders; coordinate activities with Production and Scheduling to minimize downtime.
• Perform hands‑on equipment diagnostics, repairs, and installations.
• Promote and enforce safety programs including LOTO, Hot Work, and plant safety rules.
• Train team members on equipment, safety, and maintenance procedures.
• Support spare parts inventory, documentation, and CMMS updates.
• Communicate equipment status to supervisors and act as lead when the Maintenance Manager is unavailable.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in a maintenance lead/supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong troubleshooting and mechanical/electrical skills.
• Experience with CMMS and maintenance documentation.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
