The Wayland Housing Authority is seeking a Full-Time Maintenance Laborer to perform electrical, plumbing, carpentry, snow removal, grounds keeping and general cleaning.

Candidates should have a minimum of two years’ experience in building and grounds maintenance, a high school diploma, and a valid driver’s license. The position requires working with residents and staff in a professional manner and may involve on-call duties and overtime.

Position Title: Maintenance Laborer

Department: Wayland Housing Authority

Full Time/hours: Full Time 37.5 hours per week

Union/Grade: Non-Union

Salary Range: $34.60 per hour (HUD Wage Rates)

The Wayland Housing Authority is seeking qualified candidates for a Full-Time Maintenance Laborer position. This position requires skills and knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, snow removal, grounds keeping, and general cleaning procedures. This position is subject to rotating “on call” paid duty and will require overtime.

Must be able to work well with public housing Residents & Employees of all ages and backgrounds in a professional manner. Must be a team player with ability to work independently. Experience must demonstrate a reliable “public service patience” with people of differing cultures, income-levels, education-levels, and logic. Also required is A minimum of Two (2) years’ experience in maintenance of Buildings & Grounds. A Massachusetts Driver’s License is required. Education must include high school diploma & training beyond high school.
