Works closely with station operators while making repairs and adjustments to control circuits.**Job Description*** Operating valves to properly cut trips and control equipment in and out of service.* Blowing out lines for primary metering, controls and trips using air or other fluid medium to keep lines open for proper operation.* Troubleshooting, testing, calibrating and repairing various types of electrical control circuits such as analog, digital, or distributed control systems and protective trip or interlock circuits.* Running conduit: installing necessary clamps and supports; pulling conductors and making connections; locating trouble on power and control circuits and making necessary repairs.* Meggering and testing insulation resistance on electrical equipment; adjusting and renewing brushes on rotating equipment.* Repairing and adjusting various low and high pressure hydraulic and pneumatic control systems and components.* Installing new control equipment.* Working in close cooperation with employees of other departments, vendors and others for the purpose of troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying control systems and components.* Directing others in tests of equipment for performance, efficiency, or calibration purposes.
