Ingevity in Covington, Kentucky is seeking a Carbon Tour Maintenance Journeyman to perform pipefitter and millwright maintenance, repair and construction across the plant. The role involves layout, installation, dismantling and maintenance of piping and related equipment.

The position requires a Millwright or Pipefitter journeyman credential or NCCER Level 4 Industrial Maintenance Mechanic with relevant experience, and the ability to work from drawings. Shift work and overtime are required.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Millwright Journeyman card or Pipefitter Journeyman card or NCCER Level 4 Industrial Maintenance Mechanic program with 4+ years of maintenance experience.
• Strong math and physics understanding as they relate to equipment.
• Excellent communication, team player, consensus building and interpersonal skills.

Responsabilidades

• Perform repairs, maintenance, overhaul and service on industrial equipment.
• Analyze jobs, layout work, procure materials, diagnose and fix breakdowns.
• Work with high pressure steam lines and hydraulic control systems.
• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, diagrams and manuals.

Our Covington VA plant is recruiting for a Carbon Tour Maintenance Journeyman who will perform a variety of pipefitter and millwright maintenance, repair and construction work throughout the Plant. The position will also layout, install, dismantle, repair, connect and maintain all types of piping and related equipment throughout the plant.

How You Will Impact Ingevity

• Performing repairs, maintenance, overhaul and service work on industrial and automotive equipment
• Analyzing and understanding jobs assigned, layout work, procure necessary materials, diagnose and remedy trouble as noted or when breakdowns occur
• Working with high pressure steam lines and hydraulic control systems including installation and maintenance
• Understanding the general principle of operation of all equipment serviced
• Reading, interpreting and working from drawings, blueprints, sketches, diagrams and manuals
• Applying principles of mathematics, mechanics and physics in making measurements, rigging and repairing equipment
• May require some work of other craft using basic knowledge such as welding, tinning, machinist work, carpentry, and instrumentation
• Ability to self-direct while working on jobs
• Shift and weekend work will be required.

Ingevity Is a Union Environment. The Probationary Period Is 120 Worked Days. In Order For An Applicant To Be Considered, He/she Must Be Willing To

• Work rotating 12-hour shifts on a modified Dupont rotation.
• Work overtime as required and
• Float shifts to fill vacancies.

What You Need To Succeed

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• At least one of the following;
  • Millwright Journeyman card, or
  • Pipefitter Journeyman card, or
  • Completed the NCCER Level 4 Industrial Maintenance Mechanic program with 4+ years of industrial related maintenance experience,
• Strong skills in math and understanding of physics as pertains to equipment
• Excellent communication, team player, consensus building, and interpersonal skills are required.
• Physical ability to work on your feet climbing stairs and ladders to high areas, crawling within confined areas, and working in restrictive spaces.

Shift work plus availability for overtime will be required. The hiring process includes, drug screen, criminal background check, and physical prior to hire.
