Summary

• This position performs maintenance troubleshooting; maintenance repair of electrical/electronic equipment, electronic motor control, and provides installation and/or repair of electrical needs of the hospital and its properties.
  
  
• This position works under the supervision of the Director and/or Manager and is employed by Mosaic Health System.

Duties

• Responsible for ensuring all assigned equipment and systems operate efficiently and effectively, and all repairs are performed in a timely, professional manner.
• Troubleshoot and perform maintenance, and repair work on low voltage electrical and electronic equipment associated with pumps, controls, emergency power generation, high voltage switching and distribution equipment, lighting and utility power distribution equipment, air compressors and control, oxygen and ozone production and generation equipment, and variable frequency and DC speed control equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair telemetry systems including two-wire alarm circuits using lease lines, tone type used in water stations, digital systems used in lift stations and associated transducers.
• Install, troubleshoot and perform maintenance, and repair work on electrical and electronic equipment associated with security systems, fire alarm systems, alarm devices, controls, and variable frequency and DC speed control equipment or related equipment, following blueprints of electrical layouts and building patterns. Feed cables through access holes, roof spaces, and cavity walls to reach fixture outlets; then position and terminate cables, wires and strapping.
• Prepare work orders, requests for budget, and complete preventative maintenance forms. Purchase supplies for construction and remodeling work .

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Completion of a recognized four year electrical apprenticeship program, or equivalent training, or three years of experience as a journeyman skilled electrician.
• A current and valid Driver's license and a Journeyman Electrician License for the City of St. Joseph or a level NEC ET I/II.
• Completion of a recognized four year electrical apprenticeship program, or equivalent training, or three years of experience as a journeyman skilled electrician.
