Gwinnett County Schools is seeking a Maintenance Inventory Specialist to manage parts storage, oversee inventory control, and ensure efficient operations within the Building Maintenance Department. The role requires a high school diploma, a valid Georgia driver's license, and skills in warehouse operations and data entry. Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and operate vehicles. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the efficient management of school maintenance resources.
License and Certification: Valid Georgia driver's license required. Must obtain refrigerant and forklift operator's license within six months of hire.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience: Two years in warehouse operations or similar; experience with computerized data entry preferred.
Skills: Ability to follow oral and written instructions; knowledge of warehouse operations, parts procurement, receipt, stocking, and issuance; ability to operate material handling equipment and a two-ton vehicle; proficient with computer systems and inventory management.
Standing, walking, climbing, reaching, talking, hearing, manipulating tools, lifting up to 50 pounds, operating vehicles, and working in various environmental conditions are required. Accommodations can be made for disabilities.
