Pay Range: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour, based on experience

What You’ll Do

The Maintenance Inventory Specialist will directly report to the Maintenance General Foreman. This position will work to primarily support the maintenance department in Grafton, but will also support Accounting, Shipping and Production. The Maintenance Inventory Specialist will be responsible for working harmoniously and safely within a team environment. This position is Monday – Friday from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm. There is a 90-day probation period for this position.

  • Own the parts and materials inventory in the different maintenance warehouse locations to include at least 6 different locations.
  • Begin the implementation of 5S in warehouse locations and other continuous improvement objectives.
  • Identify what parts/equipment can be used with current equipment and remove all others for disposal.
  • Research parts and materials needed based on work requests and determine if multiple vendors are available to obtain the best terms – submit online purchase requisition for approval.
  • Track receipt of parts and materials, receive via our ERP system and submit to accounts payable for Maintenance and other plant departments.
  • Ensure that procurement documentation and records are properly kept and updated on a timely basis (PO and Receivables).
  • Use and maintain the maintenance management system (MMS) to issue parts, update equipment information, develop Bills of Materials for equipment, kit parts for jobs, etc.
  • Make minor repairs to parts/equipment with rebuild kits.
  • Perform daily housekeeping of the tool crib and maintenance shop.
  • Perform cycle counts as required of parts room and update inventory levels in MMS.
  • Learn and support the finished good shipping and receiving of material from Plant 1 and Plant 2.
  • Depending on workload and staffing, may be working large portion of the day with the shipping department moving material and loading trucks with forklifts.
  • Know and understand pick tickets, Bills of Lading, and Packing list.
  • Various duties as needed to support Washington Mills.

What You’ll Need

  • Possess a high school diploma/equivalent, certifications or higher education a plus.
  • Come to work on time and demonstrate overall good attendance and availability to work.
  • Be willing to work safely and efficiently without direct supervision.
  • Be able to speak, read and write in English - Spanish is a plus.
  • Be computer literate – relevant experience (1 year minimum) with MS Office and other business software - MMS systems is a plus.
  • Have Forklift driving experience and be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs. and stand/walk up to 10 hours a day.
  • Ensure all company safety procedures are followed daily by all team members to prevent injury or accidents on the job.
