Job summary

Sterling Pharma Solutions is seeking a Maintenance Parts Coordinator at our Germantown site to manage parts identification, purchasing, receipt, and inventory control for maintenance spares.

Maintenance Parts Coordinator

Summary of Role

The Maintenance Parts Coordinator is accountable for driving results in a fast-paced environment by working with team members within the maintenance department in part identification, purchasing, receipt and management at our Germantown site. This role will ensure that critical spare parts are available when needed, inventory accuracy is high and CMMS data is reliable, and storeroom operations are organized, efficient, and inspection-ready. Opportunities for cost savings and process improvement will be proactively identified for the maintenance team as well. The position requires execution of the Sterling Values and non-negotiables, as well as expertise in functional competencies included in this position profile.

Essential Functions

Inventory & Materials Management

• Receive, inspect, label, and store incoming maintenance materials and spare parts
• Maintain accurate inventory levels within the CMMS system
• Track parts usage against work orders and purchase parts as needed
• Perform routine cycle counts and participate in physical inventories
• Identify obsolete, excess, or critical spare parts and communicate recommendations

Storeroom Organization & Control

• Maintain a clean, organized, and secure storeroom environment
• Ensure proper storage practices (FIFO, environmental controls, kitting where applicable)
• Establish and maintain standardized labeling and bin locations
• Support 6S and continuous improvement initiatives

Procurement & Vendor Coordination

• Coordinate purchasing of maintenance parts and supplies
• Create or support purchase requisitions for stocked and non-stocked items
• Track open purchase orders and follow up with vendors
• Verify correct parts, quantities, and documentation upon receipt
• Coordinate returns, warranties, and repairable spare processes

Maintenance & Reliability Support

• Assist in identifying critical spares and establishing min/max levels
• Provide feedback to maintenance planners on usage trends and lead times
• Support equipment shutdowns, outages, and emergency repairs
• Perform basic preventive maintenance tasks and assist maintenance mechanics as needed

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of experience in inventory management, purchasing, or storeroom operations

Travel Requirement

• Up to 5% travel required.
