Job summary

The Maintenance II position at Florida Sheriff’s Youth Ranches involves routine maintenance of buildings, grounds, vehicles, and equipment at the Youth Camp. The role reports to the Camp Director and is eligible for overtime.

Qualified applicants will have a high school diploma or GED and a valid Florida Class B driver’s license with passenger endorsement. Prior related work may be considered in lieu of formal education.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required (or equivalent).
• Florida Class B with passenger endorsement driver’s license in good standing required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains facilities, equipment, vehicles, and grounds in attractive, functional condition.
• Prioritizes and completes maintenance tasks in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and appliance repair.
• Maintains Aquatic Facility Operator license and proper records; arranges repairs and meets health requirements.
• Maintains grounds including mowing, trimming, cleaning walkways, weeding, and keeping facilities tidy.
• Records vehicle reports and maintenance requests accurately and on time.
• Organizes tools, equipment, and inventory to promote orderliness and efficiency.
• Demonstrates discretion and acts as a positive role model for youth and staff.
• Assists with purchasing supplies and materials as needed and communicates status to Camp Director.
