Covia is hiring a Maintenance employee at its Technisand Wedron, IL location. The role involves analyzing mechanical issues, conducting preventive maintenance, and repairing production equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Bearings.
• Ambitious and self-motivated worker.
• Able to prioritize work schedule to execute in order of importance.
• Must be able to cut and weld (stick, mig, oxy/act, plasma, etc.).
• Electrical experience is preferred.
• Ability to use hand tools and trades type tools, read blueprints, service bulletins, etc.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts if necessary or stay over shift if needed.

Covia is looking for a dynamic Maintenance employee who will have a positive impact on the Operations team at its Technisand Wedron, IL location.

Key Accountabilities

• Analyzes mechanical and operational problems on production equipment and takes corrective action. Makes necessary corrections and running adjustments to maintain maximum production and quality.
• Examines, tests, and measures product from assigned equipment for quality specifications, using gauges and instruments, and records data on appropriate forms.
• Makes preventive maintenance check and inspection of assigned equipment, reports findings to supervisor and takes appropriate action.
• Examines defects and analyzes spoilage causes and, where possible, takes corrective action. Analyzes and records cause of production delays on daily maintenance report.
• Conveyer Belt Repair and regular Maintenance
• Clean, repair, and rebuild pumps, cylinders, solenoids, and air valves
