Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance I to support multiple Temple, TX facilities by maintaining HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building systems. This hands-on role focuses on diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring safe, reliable operations.

The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule, on-site work, and benefits starting after 60 days. Candidates should have at least one year of maintenance experience and basic tools knowledge to deliver quality results.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of one year of maintenance experience.
• Experience working with HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Experience performing general building maintenance and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC/R systems.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on electrical equipment and building systems.
• Complete general plumbing repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Repair and maintain building components, including doors, walls, ceilings, flooring, and windows.
• Assemble, disassemble, move, and reconfigure office furniture.
• Conduct preventative maintenance to help ensure facility reliability.
• Coordinate with and oversee contractors performing work at company locations.
• Respond to maintenance requests and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Support facility projects and perform additional duties as needed.
• Help maintain safe, clean, and functional work environments across multiple McLane facilities.

We're seeking a hands‑on Maintenance professional to support multiple local office locations by maintaining HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems. This is an on‑site position based in Temple, TX. Candidates should reside within a reasonable commuting distance (approximately 50 minutes) of Temple to support McLane's local facilities.

• Pay: $18.00–$20.00 per hour
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. Potential for on‑call weekend support as needed.

What You’ll Do:

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC/R systems.

What We’re Looking For:

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of one (1) year of maintenance experience.
• Experience working with HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Experience performing general building maintenance and repairs.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Working knowledge of electric and manual hand tools.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing systems and repairs.
• Ability to diagnose and repair HVAC/R equipment.
• Understanding of electrical systems and the ability to perform electrical repairs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Dependable, self‑motivated, and results‑oriented.

• Ability to successfully pass a physical capabilities test, drug screen, and criminal background check.
