The City of Conroe is seeking an HVAC technician to perform maintenance, repair, preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on City facilities under supervision. This role requires a High School diploma, EPA 608 Universal Certification, and 10 years of HVAC experience.
A Texas class C driver's license is also required or preferred where applicable. Applicants must meet all knowledge, skills, and physical requirements and be able to work in various environments.
This position performs skilled heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) maintenance, repair, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting work on City facilities under the supervision of the Assistant Construction Manager.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Must possess EPA Section 608 Universal Technician Certification and ten (10) years of HVAC experience. TDLR Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technician registration or certification preferred and required when applicable to assigned work. Must possess a valid Texas class "C" driver's license or higher.
The work is heavy and requires the ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally with assistance, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Additionally, the following physical abilities are required: balancing, climbing, crawling, crouching, feeling, fingering, handling, hearing, kneeling, lifting, mental acuity, pulling, pushing, reaching, repetitive motions, speaking, standing, stooping, visual acuity, and walking.
