The City of Conroe is seeking a skilled HVAC technician to perform maintenance, repairs, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting on City facilities under supervision of the Assistant Construction Manager.
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, 10 years of HVAC experience, EPA Section 608 certification, and valid Texas Class C driver license. The role requires reading plans, coordinating with vendors, and responding to emergencies as needed.
This position performs skilled heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) maintenance, repair, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting work on City facilities under the supervision of the Assistant Construction Manager.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Must possess EPA Section 608 Universal Technician Certification and ten (10) years of HVAC experience. TDLR Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technician registration or certification preferred and required when applicable to assigned work. Must possess a valid Texas class "C" driver's license or higher.
The work is heavy and requires the ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally with assistance, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Additionally, the following physical abilities are required: balancing, climbing, crawling, crouching, feeling, fingering, handling, hearing, kneeling, lifting, mental acuity, pulling, pushing, reaching, repetitive motions, speaking, standing, stooping, visual acuity, and walking.
