Job description

The Store Receiving and Maintenance Associate is responsible for all aspects of facility maintenance, unloading trailers, processing, and moving merchandise to the appropriate area on the sales floor. The position is non-exempt.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Maintaining store cleanliness, including vacuuming, sweeping, glass cleanup, trash collection, carpet spot cleaning, and floor waxing.
  2. Replacing store and maintenance supplies, restocking bags, and replacing interior and exterior lights as needed.
  3. Maintaining the cleanliness of the associate lounge.
  4. Providing customer service as needed.
  5. Assisting in addressing safety hazards such as spills, broken glass, or icy sidewalks.
  6. Processing merchandise correctly according to store policy, including attaching sensor tags and delivering merchandise to the correct departments.
  7. Restocking carts and ensuring all merchandise is on the sales floor by store opening.
  8. Reporting suspected theft and maintaining security and safety standards.
  9. Attending store meetings and training sessions.
  10. Maintaining a professional appearance and being flexible to work in various areas as assigned.
  11. Assisting in training new associates when requested.
Minimum Education & Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Ability to read and speak English
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to read and follow policy manuals
  • Lift between 10 lbs to 72 lbs at various heights
  • Push or pull carts weighing 100 to 500 lbs
  • Climb ladders and work at heights
  • Operate a computer
  • Work independently and stand for long periods
