Store Receiving and Maintenance Associate

The Store Receiving and Maintenance Associate is responsible for all aspects of facility maintenance, unloading trailers, processing, and moving merchandise to the appropriate area on the sales floor. This position is non-exempt.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Maintain store cleanliness: including vacuuming, sweeping, cleaning glass, collecting trash, spot cleaning carpets, and waxing tile floors.
  2. Restock supplies: replace store and maintenance supplies, restock bags, and replace interior and exterior lights as needed.
  3. Maintain associate lounge cleanliness.
  4. Customer service: assist customers as needed.
  5. Safety and hazard correction: address spills, broken glass, icy sidewalks, etc., to prevent harm.
  6. Merchandise processing: unpack merchandise according to store policy (targeting 27 cph), attach sensor tags properly, and deliver merchandise to correct departments.
  7. Merchandise placement: ensure all merchandise is on the sales floor by store opening.
  8. General policies: report theft and suspicious activities, observe safety regulations, attend meetings and training, maintain professional appearance, and complete additional duties as assigned.
  9. Training: assist in training new associates when requested.
Minimum Education & Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Ability to read and speak English.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to read and follow policies and procedures.
  • Lift between 10 lbs to 72 lbs at various heights.
  • Push or pull carts weighing 100 to 500 lbs.
  • Climb ladders and work at heights.
  • Operate a computer.
  • Work independently and stand for long periods.
