The Store Receiving and Maintenance associate is responsible for all aspects of facility maintenance, unloading trailers, processing and moving merchandise to the appropriate area on the sales floor. The Store Maintenance Associate position is non-exempt.

Responsibilities
  1. Maintain cleanliness of the store, including:
    1. Vacuuming/sweeping, cleaning up all glass, collecting trash and rubbish, spot clean carpets when needed, and wax tile floors.
    2. Replace store and maintenance supplies, restock bags at wrap stands, and replace interior and exterior lights when needed.
    3. Maintain cleanliness of the associate lounge.
    4. Provide customer service as needed.
    5. Assist in correcting situations which could be harmful to customers and/or associates (i.e., spills, broken glass, icy sidewalks, etc.).
  2. Merchandise Processing:
    1. Unpack merchandise correctly in accordance with store policy and goals (27 cph).
    2. Attach sensor tags in proper areas and in areas not damaging to merchandise, as directed by the store manager for all merchandise at a price point of $ and higher.
    3. Deliver merchandise to appropriate departments and return carts to docks.
    4. Perform hanger pickups from each register stand.
    5. Ensure all merchandise is placed on the sales floor by store opening.
  3. General Policies:
    1. Report all suspected theft and unusual activities according to the security guidelines for the store.
    2. Observe security and safety regulations by keeping traffic aisles clear.
    3. Attend all store meetings and training sessions as scheduled.
    4. Maintain a neat and professional appearance in compliance with the current dress code.
    5. Agree to work in other areas or complete assigned duties as requested by the supervisor.
    6. Assist in initial training of new associates when requested and assigned by the supervisor.
Minimum Education & Experience:
  1. High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  2. Read and Speak English.
Physical Requirements:
  1. Ability to read and adhere to all policy and procedure manuals.
  2. Must be able to lift between 10 lbs to 72 lbs at floor level and above shoulder height.
  3. Ability to push or pull 100 lbs to 500 lbs carts to the sales floor.
  4. Ability to climb ladders and work at heights.
  5. Ability to operate a computer.
  6. Ability to work unsupervised.
  7. Ability to stand for long periods of time.
