Job summary

Orion Steel Group, L.L.C. is seeking a maintenance-oriented technician in Oregon. The role involves transferring parts and tools, inspecting machinery, performing adjustments and repairs, and preparing work areas for mechanics.

The position requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work rotating shifts, and comply with safety protocols. A strong emphasis on safe procedures and effective communication with teams is required.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills to interact with internal and external customers.
• Experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and other programs.
• Ability to read and write Safe Job Procedures and related documents.
• Willingness to obtain Oregon Steel Mills forklift, bobcat, and man lift certifications.

Responsibilities

• Transfer tools, parts, equipment and supplies to and from work stations and other areas.
• Clean or lubricate vehicles, machinery, equipment, instruments, tools, work areas and other objects using hand tools, power tools, and cleaning equipment.
• Examine and test machinery, equipment, components and parts for defects to ensure proper functioning.
• Adjust, maintain and repair tools, equipment and machines.
• Install or replace machinery, equipment, new and/or replacement parts, instruments using hand or power tools.
