Work Arrangement: This role is onsite, with the successful candidate expected to report to Lansing Grand River on a full-time basis.

The Role:

The Contiguous Stamping Maintenance Group Leader will lead a team of skilled hourly workers to troubleshoot and repair complex equipment and processes. This role requires adherence to the National and Local UAW Agreements. Candidates must have technical expertise to oversee maintenance operations, exercising independent judgment within the framework of Global Manufacturing Systems, focusing on Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, Cost, and Environment (SPQRCE).

Selected candidates will have opportunities to develop new skills while contributing to manufacturing processes supporting the shift toward electric and autonomous vehicles.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and respond to the daily manufacturing plan, making necessary adjustments
• Manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
• Drive accountability through people and processes, including difficult conversations
• Conduct checks and tests, and communicate results
• Proactively offer solutions to operational or technical issues
• Perform preventative maintenance and diagnose equipment malfunctions
• Maintain productivity and quality standards

• Supervise the use of labor, inventory, and machinery

Physical Requirements:

• Work in a loud, potentially climate-uncontrolled environment (hot or cold)
• Have good physical stamina and coordination to:

• Lift or carry up to 50 lbs.
• Walk and stand for prolonged periods
• Occasionally sit, climb, and operate vehicles and equipment
• Read work instructions, operate machinery, and perform inspections
