Job summary

HOUSTON APARTMENT FOUNDATION is seeking a Groundskeeper in Tyler, TX to maintain lawns, plant life, and outdoor areas. The role requires operating lawn equipment and performing routine maintenance of outdoor spaces.

The position is Monday-Friday, 7am-3pm, paying $15 per hour, with responsibilities including lawn care, planting, debris removal, and minor equipment repairs. Weather readiness and physical ability are essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to walk, stand, bend and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Knowledge of operating landscaping power tools.
• Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Mowing, trimming, edging, aerating, and fertilizing lawns.
• Installing trees, shrubs, flowers, and sod, and applying mulch.
• Disposing litter and cleaning walkways, parking lots and recreational areas.
• Using hand/power tools and machinery such as blowers, trimmers, chainsaws, typical lawn mowers and zero-turn mowers.
• Performing minor repairs on equipment and exterior structures like fences or benches.
