Washington Township School District seeks a Maintenance/Grounds Worker to manage field layouts, prepare athletic fields, and perform preventative maintenance on grounds equipment. The role requires a valid NJ driver’s license and the ability to obtain boiler and pesticide licenses within one year.

Ideal candidates are reliable, self-starting, flexible with days/hours, and capable of operating field grooming equipment across weather conditions to support school activities.

Formación

• Experience in field layouts and grounds maintenance.
• Knowledge of irrigation repair (minor) and lawn equipment upkeep.
• Ability to obtain NJ boiler and pesticide licenses within 1 year of hire.
• Must hold a valid NJ driver’s license.
• Must be reliable, self-starting and flexible with days/hours.
• Ability to operate field grooming equipment and maintain athletic fields.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain, care for and prep playing fields, grounds and facilities for athletics and activities.
• Perform preventative maintenance on lawn equipment, vehicles and related machinery.
• Operate field grooming equipment to prepare fields for events.
• Work in all weather conditions and meet license/credential requirements as issued.

REQUIRED CRITERIA:

• Experience in all field layouts
• Knowledge of irrigation repair (minor)
• Ability to perform preventative maintenance of lawn equipment, vehicles, etc.
• Possess valid NJ driver's license
• Must be reliable, self starting individual
• Must be flexible with days/hours
• Ability to operate field grooming equipment
• Maintains, care for and preps playing fields, grounds and other necessary facilities for athletics and other school activities
• Ability to work in all weather conditions
• Must be able to obtain a low pressure black seal boiler license within 1 year of hire date
• Must be able to obtain a pesticide license with 3b/core turf category within 1 year of hire date
• Must be able to lift 75lbs
• Must be able to obtain a NJ Fertilizer License

PREFERRED CRITERIA:

• CDL with airbrake endorsement
• Knowledge of lawn mowing and snow removal procedures
• Experience working for a school district/university
