Job summary

Tyson Foods, Inc. is seeking a Plant Maintenance Generalist trainee for 1st shift at the United States location. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance on equipment, basic repairs, and learning the CMMS in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires 3 months mechanical experience or automotive/mechanical training. Internal candidates are prioritized; background in hydraulics and pneumatics, welding, and fabrication are a plus. Shift and location details are as listed.

Qualifications

• Plant Maintenance Generalist: 3 months mechanical experience or automotive/mechanical degree/training.
• Hourly applicants only.
• Shift: 1st shift (USA).
• Work location: United States of America.

Responsibilities

• Training to perform preventative maintenance on assigned equipment, rebuilding equipment as determined necessary by supervisor.
• Trainee will also perform facility repairs within area, machine adjustments during production periods, and repair equipment as necessary in the event of mechanical failure.
• Learning the use of the computerized maintenance management system and working in a fast-paced environment are required as well as the ability to communicate with proper personnel.
• Trainees may be subject to shift or department rotation and are expected to abide by all safety regulations.
• Internal candidates will be considered first; external candidates with prior experience in Industrial maintenance and electrical, knowledge within hydraulics and pneumatics, welding and fabrication are preferred and will be considered next.
