Job summary

Tyson Foods, Inc. is seeking a General Maintenance 1st Shift candidate to troubleshoot, repair, and support machine systems. The role emphasizes safety, PPE use, and reliable preventative maintenance on site at Tyson facilities in the United States.

A valid state license and ability to pass screenings are required. Hiring for a 1st shift Monday–Friday 8am–4:00pm with pay of $24.25 per hour. The position includes benefits such as PPE reimbursement, safety training, and opportunities for growth

Qualifications

• 1 year of maintenance experience within the last 2 years.
• Must pass post offer health assessment and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Complete preventative maintenance tasks as assigned in a timely manner.
• Complete regular training and testing.
• Maintain and service forklift and power industrial trucks including battery changes using all required PPE.
• Maintain and service shag trucks.
• Maintain and service ammonia refrigeration systems using all required PPE.
• Answer service calls from the operations team in a timely manner.
• Communicate effectively and timely to leadership as you encounter difficulties or discrepancies.

Summary

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and providing technical support for machine systems.

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year Maintenance experience List within theImmediate past 2 years.

MVR Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age, must have a Current Valid State issued Driver's License.
• No DUI/DWI conviction within the past 12 months.
• Need full range of motion of arms, wrists, elbows, shoulders, neck, all digits, and legs. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time with a sense of balance.
• Must be able to push, pull, bend, stoop, squat, and carry (70) lbs or more up to (120) lbs.
• May work with corrective lenses if vision problems.
• May be provided PPE for additional hearing protection as needed.
• Must pass post offer health assessment and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Management and cleanup of hazmat spills.
• Communicate effectively and timely to leadership as you encounter difficulties or discrepancies.
• Other duties include ensuring that all product quality, authenticity and legality procedures are followed and completing Annual Food Defense Training.
• Ensure safety processes are being followed consistently promoting a safe work environment and performing other responsibilities as needed.
• Clean as you go throughout your work shift.
• Must be able to operate PIT including forklifts and shag trucks.
• Other duties as assigned.

Environment

Team members may spend extended times in damp and cold environments with temperatures ranging from 10 to 30 degrees Fahrenheit. (Up to 12 hours)

Team members may spend extended times in inclement weather outdoors. (Up to 12 hours)

Team members may be occasionally exposed to vibrations & loud noises.

May spend extended times at elevated heights and going up or down ladder or stairs.
